Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our GFSO Reporting Tower -Global Finance Services Division
As part of Caterpillar’s Global Finance Division, the Business Intelligence Analyst role will have the opportunity to develop and support web-based solutions functionality of one or more applications or business to support our Descriptive Analytics Team. This role will partner with Strategy & Execution Business Manager, Senior Staff Accountants, senior leadership and other key global stakeholders to design and develop key data visualizations and automation for Caterpillar’s global leadership and key stakeholders. In addition to ensuring a successful reporting standardization and transition, the role offers opportunity to identify and lead onboarding future processes. This position will work closely with business units across the enterprise and the Global Finance Strategy team to ensure alignment of processes for Caterpillar.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore, KA-India
What you will do
• Web-based solution: Support the development of web-based analytics solutions that enhance standard reporting, using modern tools to generate meaningful insights.
• Innovation & Automation: Assist in automating data workflows and reporting using Python and other tools; contribute to building business intelligence and data visualisation solutions under guidance.
• PowerPlatform integration: Work with cross-functional teams to support reporting and automation using Power Platform; develop and maintain dashboards in Power BI and SQL, and assist in creating low-code solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Collaborate with business users to understand and capture basic requirements.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and solution designs with support from senior team members.
• Participate in the creation and execution of test scripts for new features and deployments.
• Assist in reviewing training materials and user guides.
• Support the development of automation solutions using standard tools and practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and ensure solutions meet business needs.

What you will have
• 1–3 years of experience working with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), with demonstrated capabilities in leveraging AI-driven analytics and developing Python-based web reporting solutions

• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience supporting reporting or automation projects in a business environment.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team who will have the opportunity to champion our Global Finance Transformation by providing quality analysis from our new Center of Excellence. This role will primarily support onshore partners by providing reporting and analytics, aimed at delivering actionable insights that drives profitable grow

What you will do
Management Reporting and Analysis:
Day to day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Supporting management reporting activities for business divisions including month end closing, forecast submissions, results packs, variance analysis, commentary and presentations
• Performing reporting and analysis of revenue, material cost and fixed cost (labour, SG&A and R&D)
• Conducting tasks related to actuals, allocations, budgeting, intercompany services charges, inventory and FX calculation
