Job Description Summary The Data Science Intern will work as part of a team to research, develop and implement Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI based solutions across various disciplines in GE Aerospace under the guidance of senior team members. In this role, as part of the Data Science & AI team, the candidate will contribute to the development and deployment of modern machine learning, generative AI, artificial intelligence, statistical and probabilistic methods, operations research, semantic analysis, and large language model applications for finding structure and generating insight from data sets within the Customer Experience and Commercial Sales functions of GE Aerospace. Essential Responsibilities • Be a part of development team to work on Data Science technologies (GenAI , Python, cloud platforms , statistics, machine learning, deep learning) • Work closely with an identified mentor on allocated projects. Analyze, design, test and integrate components, that meet business standards and program / product requirements. • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with organization policies and procedures. • Prepare and present technical data & document and communicate the results of technical data generated. Ideal Candidate: This internship opening is to enable students to work on exploratory projects in Data Science and to contribute to digital solutions based on the identified problems. Qualifications/Requirements: • Students of B. Tech [3rd Year or 4th Year] or M. Tech [1st Year or 2nd Year] from reputed institutes • Candidate has to be from CS/IT stream with Data Science or AI Specialization (preferred) • Eligibility Criteria: 7 CGPA/ 70 Percentage & above (with no active backlogs) • NOC from college authorities to be submitted before offer issuance. Your Impact • Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to provision and manage scalable GCP and On-premise Kubernetes resources and Docker containers. • Configure and optimize Anthos Service Mesh (ASM) and Istio for service-to-service communication, security, and observability. • Implement and audit IAM roles and GCP Quotas, ensuring the environment is "Secure by Design" with robust encryption and secrets updates. • Build and leverage observability dashboards using Elasticsearch and Kibana to monitor system health and provide proactive alerts on performance and cost. • Execute capacity planning and scaling for new feature rollouts, ensuring the environment stays within defined cost envelopes and security standards. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud/On-prem Operations or DevOps. • Strong proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker. • Extensive experience with IAM implementation, GCP Quota management, and Anthos Service Mesh (ASM)/Istio. • Proven experience with Apigee and the ELK stack. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Jenkins, Spinnaker, and GitHub for automated delivery. • Proven ability to manage hybrid traffic between cloud and on-premise platforms. • Strong analytical skills for cost envelope management and capacity planning. • Advanced proficiency with cloud provider CLIs and automation scripting.
