The Runbooks team, within Operator Tools, builds the platform that makes operational knowledge available to engineers when they need it. Qualifications • 5+ years of experience developing and operating backend services or distributed systems. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Strong programming, API design, testing, debugging, and production troubleshooting skills. • Experience with cloud services, distributed architectures, observability, and operational automation. • Experience with modern development practices, including code review, CI/CD, and service ownership. • Ability to make sound technical decisions in ambiguous situations and work effectively across teams. • Experience with Java or another modern backend language; familiarity with REST APIs, databases, and containerized services is valuable. • Experience building, integrating, or operating AI-enabled applications or developer tools is preferred. Familiarity with LLM application patterns such as retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, agents, and evaluations is a plus. • Knowledge of AI security, privacy, observability, and cost management is also valuable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, coupled with knowledge of Markets domain in Kazakhstan.
